Maurice Greene tips Bolt for Olympic glory

BYDGOSZCZ, Poland -- Former World and Olympic champion Maurice Greene, has tipped Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt to win the Olympic Games 100m gold medal in Beijing.

Greene had been grooming fellow American Tyson Gay to win the event this summer, but believes the injured world champion would not be sharp in time to challenge the Jamaican who has been hinting that he is well on course to deliver something big in the Chinese capital.

"The person I wanted to win (Tyson Gay) just got injured," Greene was quoted as telling a Jamaican newspaper on Wednesday.

"Usain Bolt has set himself apart from the group. He is the man to beat right now and it's going to be tough to beat him."

"This man just came out. No one expected him to do any of this stuff and to run 9.76 and then he comes back and runs 9.72. That is impressive to me," Greene said. "Impressive."
