VALENCIA, Spain — Valencia have confirmed that they are already looking for a possible replacement for striker hitman David Villa, who is heading for a likely exit.

Villa has been linked with several clubs, including English League leaders Chelsea, title holders Manchester United in addition to the Liverpool and big the spending Manchester City.

The 27-year-old send a red alert to his targets chasers earlier this week, when he told reporters that he was not ruling out a move to the Premiership, and Valencia boss Unai Emery has revealed the club is already looking for a replacement for the Spaniard.

“The exit of Villa will be dependant on us identifying a suitable replacement,” The Sun quoted Emery as saying on Friday.

“At the moment the club is working on that but any decision will not rest with me.

“My mission is to prepare the squad for the present and not think too much about the future.

“Valencia will always be a big club and we do not depend on just one or two players.”

Besides the English League clubs, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be looking to sign the hitman.

Villa once again is in hot form on the La Liga scoring chart with nine goals in 10 starts to help Valencia to fourth in the table this season.
