Vince Grella has wished Sam Allardyce a ‘speedy recovery’ after the Rovers boss went into hospital for treatment earlier today.
Big Sam was due to undergo a minor procedure to correct the narrowing of an artery and will miss tomorrow’s game with Stoke City as a result.
However, the Rovers chief is hoping to get the all-clear to return to action next week.
Vince said: “The gaffer is a personality, he works well with his players, and he has a good relationship with his players.
“We hope he gets better and he’s back at the training ground as soon as possible.
“It is an awkward situation, but he is in good hands. The main thing is that his procedure goes well and he’s back with the team.”
