MADRID, Spain – Sergio Aguero has dismissed media reports about him making a possible move to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.
The Argentine striker has been linked with a move to the English Premier League leaders for a fee in the area of £100 million.
However, despite reports suggesting that he said yes to the deal, Aguero has dismissed wanting a move in the new window – stating he is only focusing on helping his team get from their current struggles.
“I want to help Atletico get out of its current problems,” he told sports daily Marca on Saturday.
“I am committed to the team and I’m not moving in the winter, whatever people say.”
Struggling Atletico has only win from 11 games in La Liga where they are in 18th place. They are already out of the Champions League.
