Report: Landon Donovan linked with Everton move
If the deal goes through it would see Donovan joining fellow US team-mate Tim Howard at Everton.
American scoring machine Landon Donovan could be playing English Premier League football this winter. The Daily Express is reporting that the struggling Everton had made an approach to the Galaxy to sign Donovan on a loan deal.
The Daily Express reported that a spokesman for Galaxy said: “We have interest in Landon from many teams in Europe all the time.”
No official word has been disclosed just yet, as the player’s agent, Richard Motzkin, and LA Galaxy officials were tight-lipped last night, despite reports that negotiations are understood to be under way.
If the deal goes through it would see Donovan joining fellow US team-mate Tim Howard at Everton, where Moyes believes he can help arrest Everton’s poor start to the Premier League season.
Donovan will captain the US team at next summer’s World Cup finals in South Africa and has be grouped with England, which sets up the possible of him playing against MLS fellow team-mate David Beckham.
