Arsène Wenger: I've not been in touch with Marouane Chamakh agent at all
The manager of Arsenal, Arsène Wenger, says he has not made any contact with Marouane Chamakh about a summer transfer.
Wenger confirmed earlier that he will not make a move for the Bordeaux striker in the current transfer window.
He said: “Chamakh will stay in Bordeaux until the end of the season,” said the Frenchman.
“Then he will go where he wants to go because he will be completely free.
“He could [sign a pre-contract agreement] but there is nothing concrete at all between us and Chamakh.
“He is completely free at the end of the year and I have not been in touch with his agent at all. It came up in June and it’s true that in June I wanted to take him but since we had no contact at all.”
