Real Madrid and Osasuna played to a 0-0 draw in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.
Real were hoping to jump to first place with a win, but they failed to break down a determined Osasuna side that hustled all the way to the end.
Super star Cristiano Ronaldo who was in the passing mood in the first half came out in the second with an intent to score, but not even the former Manchester United winger could find a way behind the back line.
Real’s best chance came in the second half from striker Gonzalo Higuaín, but was brilliantly kept out by the 38-year-old goalkeeper Ricardo.
In the end both sides picked up a point and Real move within two points of Barcelona on 38points.
Brazilian Kaka did not play in the game despite declaring himself fit from an injury he sustained in November last year.
