Following their disappointing draw with Osasuna in Pamplona on Sunday, Real Madrid went through further misery after local fans reportedly made sure the travelers got no time to rest after the battling encounter.
After a goalless draw with the hosts, during which star player Cristiano Ronaldo was jeered on by local fans with chants of “Cristiano die,” Real players were then greeted with singing and chanting at their hotel throughout the night which left them no time to sleep, Spanish daily AS reported.
Real were favourites to climb back at the Spanish La Liga after rivals Barcelona failed to win at home.
However, the big spending Spanish giants failed to breakdown the the Los Rojillos’ defence at Reyno de Navarra Stadium and are now two-points behind the champions who are on 40pts.
