Match us if you can – that was the message for Chelsea following Manchester United’s stunning 3-1 victory at Arsenal on Sunday.
The Reds completed a league double over the Gunners on Sunday and Carlo Ancelotti’s men will aim to do the same when they host Arsenal next weekend.
In between, Chelsea will go four points clear of United if they win their game in hand at Hull City on Tuesday night, but whether they can stay there for the long haul remains the big question – certainly one which intrigues Ji-sung Park.
“We just want to keep winning, to put Chelsea under pressure,” says Park.
“There’s still a long time to go in the league, three months, so we just have to concentrate on our own performances. We can deal with the pressure. We’ll see whether they can.”
Park helped to seal Sunday’s win at the Emirates with a fine run and finish - his first goal for United since scoring at the same ground in last May’s Champions League semi-final.
“I don’t know why (I’ve scored in two games here), but I’m always happy to score. It’s good to start now and I want to get more.
“I was watching our fans when I went to play towards them in the second half. It was a great feeling to score at that end, and to run to their corner to celebrate.”
Park had plenty of praise for Wayne Rooney, United’s other scorer at the Emirates (if you ignore Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia). The Korean said: “No-one can stop him these days. He’s been unbelievable. We lost Cristiano Ronaldo but Wayne has scored a lot of goals and has helped the team a lot. It’s a brilliant season for him.”
