Benni McCarthy - New West Ham Striker
Gianfranco Zola is hoping West Ham’s new heavyweight strike force can lead the club to safety after the boss beefed up his attack.
The Hammers have suffered with massive problems up front this season, but Zola was given the funds to bring in front men Benni McCarthy, Mido and Araujo Ilan meaning he has seven strikers to choose from.
Carlton Cole looks set to get his first start in more than two months alongside McCarthy at Burnley today, while Mido will be named in the squad.
McCarthy has been branded fat and lazy recently while Mido, who is earning just 1,000 per week, has battled weight problems all his career…..The Mirror Reports
