Chelsea captain John Terry has been dropped as skipper of England, reports are claiming.
According Sky Sports News, Terry has been relieved of his duty following a meeting with England manager Fabio Capello to discuss the alleged media reports involving the central defender’s private life.
The meeting, according to reports lasted for only 12-minutes.
If the news about Terry is indeed true this would be a massive blow for the man who was named captain of the national side in May 2008.
The news is yet to be confirmed by the FA, but reports have revealed that the meeting is already over.
There had been relief for Terry earlier in the day when lover Vanessa Perroncel, the ex-partner of Wayne Bridge, decided not to sell her story to a Sunday tabloid amid gossip that she had reached a financial arrangement with Terry.
