Report – Tottenham Make Shock Adebayor Bid, Want Parker Too
TOTTENHAM DESPERATE TO ADD MORE FIRE-POWER TO THE TEAM BEFORE THE TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSES THIS WEEK.
Tottenham have reportedly made a shocking bid for the signature of Manchester City unsettled striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Harry Redknapp is hoping to had some more firepower to his team and reports are claiming that the experienced manager is looking to the Togo international, Adebayor, as his main target.
British newspapers are reporting that representatives from Spurs and those of the former Arsenal star are currently in talks “at the highest level with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy prepared to sanction a loan deal and payment of nearly half the 26-year-old’s £170,000-a-week salary.”
Adebayor transferred from Arsenal last summer but with new recruit Mario Balotelli set to start with Carlos Tevez, he believes his playing time will only come part-time from the bench.
Meanwhile, it is also believed that Redknapp is weighing up a last ditch move for Villareal forward Giuseppi Rossi and AC Milan hitman Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Spy News also understands that West Ham United star Scott Parker is also on their radar – players they wanting to sign before the transfer window is closed.
