Agent – Franck Ribery would choose Real Madrid over Barcelona

MADRID — Bayern Munich’s midfielder star Franck Ribery would choose to suit up for Real Madrid instead of domestic and European champions Barcelona, according to his agent.

This summer the French man has been one of Europe’s most popular prospects with strong interests coming from Premiership giants Chelsea and Manchester United.

However, his agent Alan Migliaccio insists nothing has yet been finalized and will not be done until perhaps next month. He, however has not ruled out a move to the Bernabeu this summer.

"Ribery would prefer to play for Real Madrid than Barcelona," he told RAC-1. "The player has talked with Zinedine Zidane and he wants to play for Los Blancos for him.

"But at this moment everything is blocked because the people at Bayern are on holiday until the end of this month.

"I can’t say anything else until we meet them in the next few weeks."

Reports had suggested that Bayern would only listen to bids that centers in the area of around €100million to let Ribery go, a demand that appeared to have been softened since.
