David Trezeguet is not interested in move from Juventus his agent said.
Juventus forward David Trezeguet has been be sidelined for more than a month after picking up an ankle injury on Wednesday.
The French international suffered the injury in Juventus’ 2-1 Serie A win at Parma and was forced to limp off after just 18 minutes after landed awkwardly after going for a high ball with Christian Panucci.
“This morning David Trezeguet underwent medical tests and a visit to the clinic following the injury he suffered yesterday at Parma,” read a statement on the Juventus website.
“The tests showed he has a second degree sprain of the outside part of the right ankle. The prognosis for a complete recovery is around 40 days.”
The 32-year-old is now set to miss the Serie A games against AC Milan, Chievo, Roma, Lazio, Livorno and Genoa as well as the Coppa Italia tie against Napoli and could also miss the first leg of Juve’s Europa League clash against Ajax.
The injury is a big blow to boss Ciro Ferrara, who is under pressure to close the nine point-gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, the return to training of Italy forward Vincenzo Iaquinta is some good news for the club.
